Peter J. Gannon of Myrtle Beach, SC, formerly of Brewster NY died on March 18, 2025, at the age of 73.
Born in Mt. Kisco, NY, he is the son of the late Lawrence and Florence (Collabolletta) Gannon. Peter graduated from Somers High School and served in the US Army. He owned and operated “The Dry Cleaner” in Patterson, NY, was a former member of the American Legion and of the Patterson Chamber of Commerce.
Peter was well known for his love of golf. He loved his home in South Carolina, and would take off whenever possible to be in the sunshine and on the golf courses.
His other passion was cooking. Pete prepared the family meals that brought everyone together. It was his love of food and cooking that made every occasion special.
He is survived by his Life Partner, Dory Reinhardt Burdick; his children, Brett (Johanna) of Ridgefield, CT, Jason (Michelle) of Amawalk, NY, Jaime Gannon of Broomfield, CO, and Emily (Zachary) Lydon of Elizaville, NY; his grandchildren, Samantha, Luke, Jake and Kaitlin Gannon, and his sister, Patricia (Rick) Sahlin
Memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, April 3, 2025, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Beecher Funeral Home, 1 Putnam Ave, Brewster, NY.
