Pedestrian hit by car in Mt. Kisco

An elderly woman was seriously injured after being struck by a car in Mount Kisco, Westchester County Police report.

The incident took place on Tuesday, July 7, around 10:23 a.m. at the intersection of Carpenter Avenue and Barker Street. The victim, who is in her 80s, was taken by ambulance to Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla.

The driver, a man in his 60s, stayed at the scene, police said.

He told police that he did not see the woman, according to a WCPD spokesman.

No charges have been filed and the accident remains under investigation.
