KATONAH, N.Y. - The Harvey School has announced that Daniela Rynott will be the valedictorian at the school’s 2025 commencement in June.
A resident of Mount Kisco, Rynott is the top scholar of this year’s Harvey senior class, graduating with a 4.28 grade-point average. She plans to attend Northeastern University in the fall and major in journalism and political science.
In making the announcement, Head of Upper School Phil Lazzaro said, “Daniela is an impressive student in the classroom, on the stage, and in the wider community, and has demonstrated unparalleled dedication, hard work, and excellence. From consistently maintaining a high GPA to actively participating in extracurricular activities, Daniela has shown exceptional leadership and academic ability that have set a high standard for future generations."
AP English teacher Dianne Mahony praised Rynott as “a true scholar, a thinker and philosopher, who approaches literature from a position of inquiry, while keeping a keen eye out for patterns and connections that resonate well beyond the page.”
Commencement exercises for the 75 members of Harvey’s Class of 2025 will take place on June 5 at 10 a.m. in the school’s Fenstermacher Athletic Center.
