MOUNT KISCO, N.Y. - Season’s Greetings to All!
The holiday season is upon us, and everyone is scurrying about, readying their homes and businesses for the celebrations. We at the Mount Kisco Chamber of Commerce are doing the same thing!
Our merchants are here to help you find holiday gifts for everyone on your list. Shopping locally benefits the entire community and lets us remember that the spirit of the season is giving. Our local businesses offer everything you want: retail for children and adults, service businesses, restaurants, gift cards for the difficult-to-pin-down, and much more. Shop local and keep Mount Kisco thriving. We also have many non-profit organizations that help those of us who are less fortunate. Please do what you can: volunteer, drop off items, or donate money—all are welcome.
The Mount Kisco Chamber of Commerce has a few events designed for fun for the whole family—with no stress, just holiday cheer!
Join us as we kick off the season with the annual Holiday Tree Lighting on Friday, Dec. 6, at 6 p.m., which includes a community food drive. Mt. Kisco Chevrolet is generously supplying a pickup truck to be filled with donations for the Mount Kisco Inter-Faith Food Pantry to distribute. The items requested are on our website, mtkiscochamber.com.
The evening will have performances by the Mount Kisco Elementary School Chorus, The Westchester Family Church (and the donation of battery-powered candles), and the St. Francis Contemporary Choir. Get ready to sing festive songs of the season. Refreshments will be provided by Thomas Fox & Son Caterers and ShopRite. There will be a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus, and everyone will countdown to the Tree Lighting! Don’t forget to have a photo taken with Santa!
HolidayFest will take over the So. Moger Ave. area on Saturday, Dec. 14. The festivities take place from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Beginning at the American Legion, Santa will visit, and toys will be given out courtesy of Marine Toys for Tots. A big Thank You to Charlie Pieragostini, the Mount Kisco Recreation Department, and the Mount Kisco Volunteer Fire Department.
Then stroll over to the Promenade on So. Moger Ave. for an afternoon filled with shopping and other activities including:
The Annual Cookie Crawl
New, fun characters wandering around
A walk-in Snow Globe for picture taking
Miss Alessia’s Dance Artistry performance
While you shop, the kids can enjoy the giant inflatable Polar Bear obstacle course
A holiday market will allow you to shop and support local artisans and non-profits
Don’t forget the many opportunities to take a shopping break and grab a snack or a meal at one of the many choices of eateries in Mount Kisco. And never worry that you were naughty, because Santa and Mrs. Claus will be at the Gazebo for more picture taking!
We aren’t done yet! The Mount Kisco Volunteer Fire Department will give Fire Truck rides from 12 noon to 4 p.m. Meet in the So. Moger parking lot and continue the excitement of the day. The MKVFD will roll out the first Light Parade down So. Moger Ave. to top off the day. Watch as the trucks try to outdo each other with fantastic display work on their trucks!
We are grateful for our community, local businesses, volunteer organizations, and non-profits, which comprise Mount Kisco's fabric.
Thank you all for your support. Happy Holidays from your Chamber!
