MOUNT KISCO, N.Y. - The crisp, windy January has given way to February, the year’s shortest month. It is the time for several celebrations: Black History Month, Groundhog Day, Super Bowl, Valentine’s Day, and President’s Day! And sneaking around the calendar is the St. Patrick’s Day Parade on March 9! Hopefully, you can enjoy many of these holidays with family and events in the village.
The Mount Kisco Chamber of Commerce ended January with a group of volunteers working with the Mount Kisco Interfaith Food Pantry, providing food to many in need. It was an excellent opportunity to give back to our community. Please contact them for volunteer opportunities at www.mountkiscofoodpantry.org or 914-610-5187.
February started with our annual Chamber New Year meeting. There was plenty of networking, welcoming new members, excellent bites from Tipsy Taco (www.tipsytacobars.com), and sharing plans for Chamber activities throughout the year. Upcoming events include Hop Into Spring, Mother’s Day, and the Chamber Honors Dinner. We have a full calendar for 2025!
The excitement is building for both the 60th Anniversary of the Mount Kisco Chamber and the Sesquicentennial of Mount Kisco. Soon, banners around town will highlight MK150, and featured events will be promoted throughout.
What a historic year!
I hope you enjoy February. The businesses are open, and many will have Valentine’s gift ideas! Remember to shop locally and thank you for your continued support.
