Mount Kisco Chamber of Commerce Corner for December

Posted

MOUNT KISCO, N.Y. - The Mount Kisco Chamber of Commerce has been very fortunate in 2024. We saw membership and outreach into the business community grow, a greater awareness of our many varied businesses, and an uptick in spending in Mount Kisco overall. This positive increase means more dollars will stay in Mount Kisco, which means there is potential for increased services.

The MKCC has thoroughly enjoyed bringing events to the community throughout the year. We began with Hop Into Easter and the Easter Egg Trail, Chalk the Walk, Trick or Treat, and ended with the Holiday Cookie Crawl, all supported by our fun-loving and generous merchants! HolidayFest 2024 went to a new level by teaming up with the Mount Kisco Volunteer Fire Department, the Holiday Market, and the American Legion, host of the Marine Toys for Tots. The day of fun, shopping, dining, fire truck rides, and being with family was an unmitigated success. Santa, Olaf, Penguin, a life-sized snow globe, and a polar obstacle course were most definitely highlights of the day! Here’s to next year!

We are proud to have celebrated our Chamber Honors this year by recognizing Jean Farber as the Citizen of the Year, Leonard Park Wines & Spirits as the Business of the Year, and Twigs Thriftree as the Organization of the Year! Please continue to support their businesses and thank them for what they have done and continue to do for our community.
By far, the most significant and ambitious undertaking by the Mount Kisco Chamber of Commerce in 2024 was the highly anticipated SeptemberFest. It consisted of three days of music, a Street Fair, an Art Exhibit by the Mount Kisco Arts Council, a Food Court and Beer Garden, and a full-sized Carnival. The festive atmosphere was evident throughout the village, and we could not have brought so many people into our beautiful town without the direct support of the Village of Mount Kisco.

We are often asked, and rightly so, what we do with the money we raise. We have a vibrant program called “Pay It Forward.” A few examples are the recipients of the Chamber Honors each choose a non-profit organization, and we make a donation in their name; we supply all the holiday decorations in town and take care of the Gazebo area; we also have a scholarship that we give to a deserving student at Fox Lane High School each year. The Chamber is coming up on our 60th anniversary, and we believe we have grown with the community and the times. We always look for more ways to serve our business community and welcome everyone to join our fantastic membership! Thank you for your continued support.

We look forward to 2025 and all the amazing opportunities that await!

We wish everyone a fun and safe holiday season and a happy and healthy 2025.
