Fox Lane High School has chosen David Matz and Nora Dooley as the Class of 2026 valedictorian and salutatorian, respectively.
Matz plans to attend Johns Hopkins University and major in chemical and biomolecular engineering, while Dooley will attend University of Virginia and major in biology.
Both students cited research experiences among their proudest accomplishments. Matz highlighted writing a scientific paper based on blood protein research conducted at Mount Sinai in New York City, while Dooley described learning coding and completing a science research paper project during her sophomore and junior years.
