Marie P. Sellati of Brewster, NY, passed away at home Wednesday January 8, 2025, with her family at her side, at the age of 75.
Marie was born April 26, 1949, in Bronx, NY, daughter of the late Stephen and Mary (Deluca) Badalamente. She attended Immaculate Conception High School. On September 10, 1967, she married Charles P. Sellati in Immaculate Conception Church in Bronx, NY. They moved to Mt. Vernon, NY before moving to Brewster, NY in 1976 where they became members of St. Lawrence O’Toole Church. Marie worked as a Salon Manager for D’Avanti Salon in Scarsdale for over fifty years and was a highly dedicated worker. Marie loved family, pets, spending the summer camping on the beach in Montauk with her husband and friends, she loved music and dancing.
Besides her husband Charles, Marie is survived by her daughter Laurien Sawicki of Brewster, NY and her son Charles A. Sellati and his wife Rosemarie of Poughkeepsie, NY; sister Petrina Lopane of Millerton, NY; brother Anthony Badalamente of Bronx, NY; grandchildren Michael Sawicki Jr., Danielle Sawicki, Maria Sawicki, Charles Sawicki and Ethan and Owen Sellati. She was predeceased by her son-in-law Michael Sawicki.
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday January 14, 2025, at St. Lawrence O’Toole Church in Brewster, NY at 10 a.m. The interment will be private. Calling hours will take place on Monday, January 13, 2025, at Beecher Funeral Home, 1 Putnam Ave., Brewster, NY, from 2 to 6 p.m.
