CORRECTION: An earlier version of this story's headline said the threatening incident involved a knife. This has not been substantiated. We regret the error.
A 25-year-old man faces charges in connection with an alleged incident at the Metro North train station in Mount Kisco, police said.
Around 9 p.m. on Sunday, July 26, the Westchester County Police Department reached out to the MTA to report that a man had been "threatening" people on the platform.
Police said the man was removed from the station and detained by the WCPD.
MTA police officers arrived on scene and took over the preliminary investigation.
(The MTA Police Department has jurisdiction over regional commuter railroads, major terminals, and specific MTA properties.)
Police said they were unable to verify the suspect’s identity at the scene, so he was taken into custody and transported to the MTAPD’s District 6 Base in Mount Vernon where he was subsequently ID’d as Jack A. Delgado-Suqui of Mount Kisco.
Found to be “impaired by alcohol intoxication,” Delgado-Suqui was taken to Mount Vernon Hospital for treatment, police said.
He was charged with “entering a terminal/station while impaired.”
