With a heavy heart we share the news of the passing of Leonhard Wagner who passed in his sleep and is now at peace after suffering with vascular dementia for years.
Leonhard was the loving husband to Gloria who passed in 1993 and Violet who passed in 2013 and will be dearly missed by his son Rick, grandson Jonathan, daughter-in-law Rebecca, sister-in law Rosemarie and his warm and loving nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. Leonhard was born in Jetzendorf Germany to Heinrich and Josefa. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother Franz, sisters Josefa and Mathilde, precious family members and friends.
Leonhard was a Korean War veteran and moved to Yorktown Heights in 1958 where he resided until he passed. He was a firefighter and retired from the Lake Mohegan Fire Department in 1991.
Leonhard was a strong, caring, and devoted person who would give you the shirt off his back. His passion was sharing his wisdom with others, and he loved to cook and listen to music. RIP Lenny
