It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved daughter, Laura Kathryn, on April 10, 2026. Laura's life span was far too short, but her years were filled with joy and accomplishments. Everyone who knew Laura will miss her. She resided in Mt. Kisco (Bedford Corners) for all her life. For schooling she was very partial to small schools in bucolic New England settings. She attended Rippowam Cisqua School in Bedford, NY; The Hotchkiss School in Lakeville, CT; Middlebury College in Vermont; and The Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College in Hanover, NH.
Laura had a great love of travel domestically and abroad. She and her mother enjoyed many memorable road trips together fro Maine to Montana. Laura had many other interests and talents, with music and art being favored activities. She was a chorister from age six continuing through to being a member of the Madrigal Singers at Middlebury; equally she had for all her life a special talentfor oil paintingand served as a docent at Middlebury's Art Museum. These talents were confirmed when she was awarded both Hotchkiss's music prize and its art prize upon graduation in 2001. Laura was also a demon at games, especially Scrabble where she soon took over her father, and other board and card games where she was nearly unbeatable, Crossword puzzles and on-line word games.
Getting her MBA from Tuck School centered her adult life in the business world, where she has been enthusiastically engaged as a marketing professional for several years with Prestige Brands in Tarrytown, NY. In recent years Laura's interests also turned to real estate in the form of restoring a week-end home in Falls Village, CT where she was keenly interested in architectural and interior design.
A Memorial Service will be held at Saint Matthews' Episcopal Church in Bedford, NY at 1 p.m. on May 9, with a reception to follow there. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to Dana Farber Cancer Institute (Boston) or the New York Presbyterian Hospital (NYC).
