Josephine LaGuidice-Formisano of Patterson, NY, passed away peacefully and surrounded by family on Thursday, August 14, 2025, following a brief illness. Josephine was an incredibly loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and daughter.
Josephine was born and raised in the Bronx, where she also attended and graduated high school.
On April 27, 1958 Josephine married the love of her life, Mario Formisano, later raising their four children in New Rochelle, NY.
Josephine is survived by her sons Mario (Phyllis) Formisano Jr., Angelo “Mace” Formisano, and Steven (Lisa) Formisano. She also leaves behind all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Sadly, she is predeceased by her husband Mario and daughter Jeannine Tesoro.
Josephine will be remembered for the love that she had for all of her children, grand-children and great-grandchildren.
She was sure to have Sunday dinner prepared every week and you were expected to be there by 3 p.m. sharp! Josephine enjoyed spending time with her family and for never leaving a word search puzzle unfinished. She also will be remembered for serving as Eucharistic minister at the Holy Name of Jesus church in New Rochelle.
Calling Hours will be held on Tuesday, August 19, from 3 to 7 p.m. at Beecher Funeral Home, 1 Putnam Ave, Brewster, NY 10509. A Prayer Service will take place during calling hours at the Funeral Home.
