Frederick Ward Jones, 90, of Mt. Kisco, passed away peacefully on February 22, 2025, at his home, surrounded by his loving family, following three months of home hospice care for recently diagnosed cancer. Ward was a man of great character, loyalty, and dedication. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Born on December 15, 1934, in Huntington, New York, to Fred and Elisabeth Jones, Ward was baptized on April 6, 1947, at the Huntington Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by both parents, two sisters, and beloved son Jeff. He is survived by his devoted wife of 67 years, Jacqueline (Jackie) Jones; his daughter, Naomi Jones-Staricka, and son-in-law, Robert Staricka; his cherished grandchildren, Eleanor Staricka, Anna Hultgren (husband Neil), and Alec Staricka; and his great-grandson, Archer Jones Hultgren, who brought immense joy to his life.

A proud veteran, Ward served for four years in the U.S. Navy before embarking on a long and successful career with IBM, where he held various roles, ultimately rising to Branch and Regional Manager positions. He retired from IBM in 1989 but continued to work for Kodak for an additional 9 years, always committed to excellence in everything he did.

Retirement allowed him to pursue his lifelong passion for old cars, fulltime. Ward opened Hotrods by Jackson and Wardick, and enjoyed every day in the shop creating, problem solving, helping friends and customers, well into his old age.

Ward was a true gentleman, known for his integrity, dry sense of humor, and generosity with his time and talents. His warmth, wisdom, and dedication to his family and community left an indelible mark on all who knew him.

A visitation with the family and memorial service will be held on March 8, 2025, at the Cassidy Flynn Funeral Home in Mt. Kisco. The family invites all who knew Ward to join them in celebrating his life.
