Elmer Edmundo Perez, 65, of Mount Kisco, passed away at his home on Wednesday, December 10, 2025.
Elmer Edmundo Perez was born in San Luis Jilotepeque, Guatemala, to Eva del Rosario Ucelo and Benedicto Perez on July 5, 1960. He was one of six siblings and had five sisters: Amparo, Sonia, Marilú, Lorena, and Mirsa. Elmer later became the father of his oldest son, Alejandro. He eventually relocated to New York, where he built a life with his wife, Lucila Torres.
Together, Elmer and Lucila became parents and built a family. Their son Oscar was born sleeping and is forever held in their hearts. Elmer raised his children Daniela, Guadalupe, and Elmer with love and dedication. Although he raised three children, he will forever be remembered as the father of five.
Elmer worked as a landscaper for many years, a career that reflected his strong work ethic and commitment to providing for his family. Even after suffering a serious leg injury, he continued working for as long as he was able.
Elmer enjoyed watching Exatlón and spending time with friends at Henri's Deli. Though quiet by nature, he was warm and expressive with those he held dear and had a way of bringing light into conversations.
Elmer is deeply loved and will be greatly missed by his wife, children, family, and all who knew him.
Elmer Edmundo Perez nació en San Luis Jilotepeque, Guatemala, hijo de Eva del Rosario Ucelo y Benedicto Perez, el 5 de julio de 1960. Fue uno de seis hermanos y tuvo cinco hermanas: Amparo, Sonia, Marilú, Lorena y Mirsa. Más adelante, se convirtió en el padre de su hijo mayor, Alejandro. Posteriormente emigró a Nueva York, donde construyó una vida junto a su esposa, Lucila Torres.
Juntos formaron una familia. Su hijo Oscar nació dormido y permanece para siempre en sus corazones. Elmer crió a sus hijos Daniela, Guadalupe y Elmer con amor y dedicación. Aunque crió a tres hijos, siempre será recordado como el padre de cinco.
Durante muchos años, Elmer trabajó como jardinero, reflejando su fuerte ética de trabajo y compromiso con su familia. Incluso después de sufrir una grave lesión en la pierna, continuó trabajando mientras le fue posible.
Elmer disfrutaba ver Exatlón y pasar tiempo con amigos en Henri's Deli. Aunque era una persona callada, con quienes quería era cálido y expresivo, y tenía una manera especial de iluminar las conversaciones.
Elmer es profundamente amado y será siempre recordado por su esposa, sus hijos, su familia y todos los que lo conocieron.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Elmer on Thursday December 18th 2025 by Rev. Steven Clark at St. Francis of Assisi Church 2 Green Street Mount Kisco, NY 10549 Burial will follow St. Francis Cemetery 236 Lexington Avenue. Mount Kisco, NY
