It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of Elizabeth A. Dobbins, aged 85. She was a beloved wife, mother, sister and grandmother. An illustrious spirit, she was a member of many clubs such as the Catholic Daughters of America, Southeast Seniors, and in her earlier life, the Atlantic City Rockettes.
She also held the esteemed position of Past President of St. Lawrence O’Toole Court Bernadine. Her hobbies included sewing, crafts, and needlepointing as well as knitting. Elizabeth was a proud graduate of St. Barnabas High School in Yonkers, NY. A more than five-decade resident of Brewster, she worked as an Office Coordinator for the Danbury News-Times for more than 30 years.
She is survived by her three children, Michael (Maureen), Timothy (Karen) and Kevin (Susan). In addition, she loved and cherished her three grandchildren; Ryan, Cody and Kyle and was predeceased by her husband Albert Dobbins and brother William Schroeder.
Elizabeth’s faith was unwavering; thus she was a devoted parishioner of St. Lawrence O’Toole Catholic Church. Fittingly, a mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Lawrence O’Toole on Friday, March 21, at 10 a.m. while visitation is set for Thursday, March 20, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Beecher Funeral Home. Interment to follow at St. Lawrence cemetery.
