Body found in wooded area near Mount Kisco’s Ben & Jerry’s

MOUNT KISCO, N.Y. – The body of an adult female has been found in a wooded area off East Main Street (Route 117) in Mount Kisco, police reported.

Pending confirmation by the county medical examiner’s office, the death is being investigated as a possible suicide, according to county police spokesman Kieran O’Leary.

A person walking in the area of Washington Rock, a historic landmark opposite Ben & Jerry’s ice cream shop, around 7:20 a.m. Wednesday, May 21, discovered the body and called authorities, he said.

Further details such as where the woman was from or where she may have been living at the time were not immediately available.
