Operation Ice Splash returned to the shores (and frigid waters) of Lake Mahopac on Saturday after this winter’s deep freeze put the event on ice in January and February.
With a jumping-off point at the Mahopac VFW Post 5491, the third-annual event was a complete scene with food, activities, a DJ and nearly 85 brave (or crazy? or both?) souls ready to take the plunge to help raise money for veterans.
