MAHOPAC, N.Y. —Longtime Mahopac resident Patricia Simone is running for the Putnam County Legislature. Simone is vying for the seat representing the legislature’s ninth district, which includes parts of Mahopac. The seat is currently held by fellow Republican Erin Crowley.
In a press release announcing her run, Simon said she had “a vision of running a transparent, positive, and community-focused campaign” and is “committed to advocating for the values that make our community great.”
Noting that she’s “a dedicated member of the Republican Party,” Simone pointed to her more than 18 years of experience working within the New York State Senate as the Director of Constituent Services and serving as Chief of Staff in the Putnam County Government Executive Office under MeryEllen Odell.
“These roles have equipped her with a deep understanding of the issues that matter most to residents of Putnam County,” the press release said. “A proud 35-year resident of Mahopac, Patricia, along with her husband Robert, have raised three sons in the community. Her extensive experience has provided her with firsthand insights into the challenges that families face every day, strengthening her commitment to serve with dedication and compassion Patricia’s guiding principles include individual freedoms, fiscal responsibility, limited government, and strong family values.”
Simone said she is “prepared to work tirelessly” in the community’s interest and insuere “that the voices of residents are heard and valued.”
“I look forward to engaging with the community and sharing my vision for a better future for Putnam County,” she said. “Together, we can create a thriving environment for all families and ensure that our community continues to be a great place to live, work, and raise our children.”
