A new business aimed at the local outdoor community celebrated its grand opening July 17 at 914 South Lake Blvd., in Mahopac.
Rack & Reels Outdoors welcomed residents to the store for an evening organized with the Greater Mahopac-Carmel Chamber of Commerce. The celebration featured food, giveaways and a meet-and-greet with fitness personality and avid fisherman Mike “No Donuts” Counihan, a 1st Phorm athlete and a New York City police officer who has developed an online following by promoting fitness among police officers and other first responders. Fishing and the outdoors are also frequent themes in his social-media and podcast appearances.
The chamber reported a strong turnout for the opening, which brought together residents, business representatives and outdoor enthusiasts to welcome the store to Mahopac.
