Putnam Land Trust to honor Smart Climate Task Force

Posted

CARMEL, N.Y.—On Saturday, April 26, the Putnam County Land Trust will celebrate 56 years of protecting what matters in Putnam County. A celebratory evening is planned.

This year, PCLT will honor the Putnam County Smart Climate Task Force, which has achieved Bronze Certified Climate Smart Community status for Putnam County. Also being recognized are the stewards and volunteers who monitor and care for the preserves and trails.

The event will be held at Centennial Golf Club on John Simpson Road in Carmel. It will feature a live and silent auction, as well as raffles. The dinner journal will include information about each of the groups that helped develop trails and other improvements on the land. PCLT now has nearly 1,350 acres of land permanently protected in three conservation areas and 28 standalone preserves.

Join us in this celebration. Tickets are $85 per person before April 15 and $95 after. For more information about the event, contact eventrsvp@putnamcountylandtrust.org or call 845-743-3187.
