The Mahopac Volunteer Fire Department held its 112th Annual Dinner and Installation of Officers on Jan. 10 at Villa Barone, an evening that included the swearing-in of administrative and firematic officers and the presentation of Chiefs’ Awards.
The annual event also recognized outgoing officers and members for their service while formally installing the department’s leadership for the coming year.
Kyle Trillas was sworn in as chief, with Brandon Timmons installed as first assistant chief and Brian Smith as second assistant chief.
John Nikisher was installed as captain of Engine Company 1, with Adam Konwerski serving as lieutenant. James Scanga was sworn in as captain of Engine Company 2, with Robert Kick as lieutenant, while Justin Morelli was installed as captain of Engine Company 3, with Timothy Stasiak serving as lieutenant.
William Kelly was installed as captain of Truck Company 1, with Joseph Nikisher serving as lieutenant. Niko Conde was sworn in as captain of the EMS Company.
Steven Storino was installed as president, with Frank Egelsen Jr. serving as vice president. Laura Whitten was sworn in as recording secretary, Craig Machado as financial secretary and Thomas Beatty as corresponding secretary and service awards secretary.
Jack Zencheck was installed as treasurer, John Ortiz as sergeant-at-arms, William Nikisher as quartermaster and Dave Cariddo as parade marshal.
Frido Goerlich was named to the ethics board.
The Board of Fire Commissioners includes Raymond Hamill (chair), Michael Maguire (vice chair), Robert Carey, Adam Savino and James Stasiak.
