A 46-year-old Mahopac man was arrested Saturday night, Feb. 7, after Carmel police say he was driving erratically on Route 6 and found with drugs and a weapon in his vehicle.
Steven J. Bisordi was stopped around 10:30 p.m. at the BP Gas Station on Route 6 after police received a 911 report of a suspicious white Ford F-150. Officers say a records check revealed Bisordi had an active arrest warrant out of Queensbury, N.Y.
A K9 search of this vehicle led to the discovery of fentanyl, multiple glass pipes, other drug paraphernalia, and an imitation firearm, police said.
Bisordi was charged with two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and one count of fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon--all misdemeanors. He was processed at Carmel Police headquarters and released on appearance tickets for Carmel Justice Court.
Police are asking anyone with additional information to call 845-628-1300.
