Airport Park in Mahopac drew an enthusiastic crowd for National Night Out, an annual event that brings police and the community together in a fun environment while giving residents a chance to show their support and spend time with the men and women who keep them safe.

While the National Night Out concept – which includes games, activities and displays of police and other first responders’ gear and vehicles – dates back to the 1980s, it’s relatively new to Mahopac. The Carmel Police Department held its first National Night Out in 2023 at Chamber Park before moving the event to Airport Park.

Halston Media Creative Director Tabby Pearson Marshall was on hand to capture the action.
