MAHOPAC, N.Y. — The Italian American Club of Mahopac held its annual installation of officers, volunteer appreciation, and Christmas dinner on Saturday, Dec. 14, 2024.
President Giulio Cefaloni emceed the event, and Judge Thomas Jacobellis presided over the swearing-in ceremony.
The evening opened with the American national anthem, followed by the Italian national anthem, a moment of silence for first responders, the Armed Forces, and all who protect and defend the country, and a blessing.
The president highlighted the many events sponsored by the club, including the Columbus Day wreath presentation, the International Heritage celebration with St. John the Evangelist Church, the Evening in the Piazza, the Homemade Wine Making & Tasting Competition, Italian Masses, the club picnic, bocce tournaments, a briscola tournament, high school scholarships, and more.
