Always one of the highlights of summer, the Putnam County Fair & 4-H Showcase returned to Veterans Memorial Park on July 25-26, bringing together animals, homegrown produce, crafts, music, games and plenty of fair food. A longtime county tradition, the annual event celebrates Putnam’s agricultural roots while showcasing the work of local 4-H members and providing a weekend of family-friendly fun. Attendance was once again strong, especially among youngsters eager to get up close with goats, sheep, rabbits and other four-legged favorites.
