In addition to Carmel Supervisor, Town Board, Sheriff and choosing one of Mahopac's reps on the Putnam county Legislature, voters had their say across the county.

Legislative races

While the Carmel/Kent legislative district remained in GOP hands, the race was closer than many predicted in traditionally red eastern Putnam County.

Republican/Conservative Jake D’Angelo held off a challenge from Democratic/For the People candidate Brett Yarris for the seat. D’Angelo received 52.77 percent of the vote (1,352 total), including 1,141 on the Republican line and 211 on the Conservative line. Yarris earned 47.11 percent (1,207 votes), with 1,047 on the Democratic line and 160 on the For the People line. There were also three write-in votes (0.12 percent).

The District 6 (Southeast) seat vacated by Paul Jonke was even closer, with Republican/Conservative Tommy Regan defeating Democrat Thomas P. Sprague by less than 40 votes according to unofficial numbers—1,203-1168 (or 50.72 percent to 49.24 percent).

There was one write-in vote.

Four justices were elected to the State Supreme Court in the 9th Judicial District. Diane M. Clerkin (Democratic/Conservative) led the field with 14.35 percent (11,631 votes), followed by John P. Collins Jr. (Democratic/Conservative) with 14.07 percent (11,403), Verris B. Shako (Democratic/Conservative) with 13.8 percent (11,185), and Raymond P.
