This year, we have a rare opportunity to elect a serious candidate to the Putnam County Legislature. Gwen Burke has the exact resume we need to tackle our economic and environmental issues. These include high taxes, high electric bills and water safety. Possessing both a scientific background and an MBA in finance, Ms. Burke understands the dual need to balance responsible and transparent fiscal practices with the trustworthy oversight of our environment to protect our health and community.
Ms. Burke understands the struggle of working families who have been trying to make ends meet for years. She is sensitive to the needs of recent graduates, many of whom have been forced to leave Putnam to find good paying jobs or launch their careers. Gwen Burke wants to change this by providing better opportunities through sound economic planning and growth. As a nod to her commitment to the working people of Putnam, she has earned the endorsement of the WPCLB AFL-CIO. That's a major accomplishment!
As an environmental engineer, Ms. Burke is equipped to protect our water and air quality. She understands the importance of working more closely with the New York State Department of Environmental Protection and the Department of Conservation. Gwen Burke is the real deal, and she has my vote for a better Putnam, and to provide a better future for our children, grandchildren and all future generations.
