Pine Grove Country Day School in Mahopac has been serving the Putnam and Northern Westchester communities for more than 40 years. Founded with a mission to provide a nurturing and enjoyable atmosphere for children to thrive, Pine Grove offers an enriching summer camp experience tailored for children aged 3 to 12.
The camp is held at two locations: Myrtle Avenue for younger children and Baldwin Park for the older ones. Flexible scheduling options include half- or full-day sessions spanning four or six weeks, with extended hours available to accommodate working parents.
Under the guidance of dedicated head counselors and junior counselors, who are former campers themselves, children engage in a diverse array of activities such as fitness, yoga, arts and crafts, sports, drama, pony rides, dance, science, music lessons, petting zoos and more.
The swimming program, a major part of camp programming, offers daily swimming lessons and free-fun swims in a safe pool, supervised by certified lifeguards.
