WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. - St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Katonah and The Church of the Good Shepherd in Granite Springs are pleased to announce the formation of a newly yoked parish partnership, creating a shared ministry serving communities across northern Westchester County.
The partnership will be led by The Reverend Mike Thomas, who has been appointed Priest-in-Charge of both parishes. Father Thomas will oversee worship, pastoral care, and community outreach as the congregations deepen their shared mission of faith and service. His first Sunday services will be held on Nov. 23.
Rev. Thomas comes to the region from Colorado, where he served multiple congregations within the Episcopal Diocese of Colorado. He has also provided chaplaincy services at several hospice centers and hospitals in Colorado and Texas.
“This partnership reflects our commitment to growth, vitality, and collaboration in ministry,” said Fred Piker, Senior Warden of St. Luke’s. “Together, we look forward to continuing God’s work in our neighboring communities.”
“We are excited to welcome Father Mike and explore how our two parishes can serve side by side, strengthening our witness and love for our neighbors,” added Anthony Squicciarini, Senior Warden of The Church of the Good Shepherd.
This yoked partnership continues a long tradition of cooperation among Episcopal congregations in the Hudson Valley and underscores a shared dedication to worship, fellowship, and community outreach.
Church of the Good Shepherd is located at 39 Granite Springs Road in Granite Springs. St. Luke’s Episcopal Church is located at 68 Bedford Road in Katonah.
