KATONAH, N.Y. - Katonah-Purdys United Methodist Church has announced its schedule of services and community events for Holy Week 2026, inviting residents to take part in a series of gatherings leading up to Easter Sunday.
The week begins on Sunday, March 29, with Palm Sunday observances. At 9 a.m., the church will join in an ecumenical Walk of Unity, with participants meeting at Peppino’s Restaurant. The morning will conclude with a 10:30 a.m. worship service at the church.
Holy Week continues on Thursday, April 2, with a Maundy Thursday fellowship meal at 6:30 p.m., followed by a candlelight service reflecting on the final days of Christ.
On Friday, April 3, a Good Friday service will be held at noon at Mt. Kisco United Methodist Church, located at 300 East Main Street in Mount Kisco.
Easter celebrations begin early on Sunday, April 5, with a 6:30 a.m. sunrise service at Cross River Dam on Reservoir Road in Katonah. A traditional Easter Sunday service will follow at 10:30 a.m. back at the church, with an Easter egg hunt for children scheduled after worship.
Organizers are also encouraging attendees to bring a flower to adorn the cross on the church lawn, transforming it from a symbol of sacrifice into one representing resurrection and everlasting life.
All events are open to the public. The church is located at 5 Bedford Road in Katonah.
