Bedford’s three hamlets come together for Tri-Festa

BEDFORD, N.Y. - One town, three hamlets and plenty of reasons to celebrate.

Bedford residents will have a chance to enjoy an afternoon and evening of food, music, games and community spirit when Tri-Festa returns Saturday, Sept. 19.

The annual celebration, presented by the Town of Bedford Recreation & Parks Department, will run from 3 to 8 p.m. at Bedford Village Memorial Park, 65 Greenwich Road.

Tri-Festa brings together the communities of Bedford Hills, Bedford Village and Katonah for an end-of-summer celebration that has become a popular local tradition. Residents can enjoy food trucks, live music, a beer and wine garden, children’s games and family-friendly entertainment while catching up with neighbors and meeting others from around town.

The event also provides an opportunity to celebrate the many organizations, businesses and community groups that contribute to the character of Bedford and its three distinctive hamlets.

This year’s festivities will include a patriotic touch as the town incorporates elements of its Rev Up 250 initiative, commemorating the 250th anniversary of the nation’s founding.

The event will also feature the first annual Tri-Hamlet Challenge, where residents will represent their respective hamlet in friendly competitions including kickball and tug of war as they vie for the Tri-Festa Trophy Cup.

Whether the goal is to grab something good to eat, let the kids burn off some energy, listen to live music or simply spend time with friends and neighbors, Tri-Festa offers something for just about everyone.

As summer winds down, Bedford’s three hamlets will have one more chance to come together — and celebrate what makes their community special.
