YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. – The equinox may have been June 21, but Yorktown's real summer got underway on Wednesday, June 25, with the annual Yorktown Heights Volunteer Firemen’s Parade, followed by the YHFD's Carnival on Thursday-Sunday. The events—a major fundraiser for the volunteer fire dept—brought the community together for days of fun, celebration, and honor. Families enjoyed rides and classic treats like zeppoles and sausage and peppers, while the parade highlighted the dedication of the fire department and other local agencies.
